This is my fourth waterbed mattress since the mid '70s; the previous one lasted 33 years, and in 1988 cost $150 more than this one, but its internal support had deteriorated and I was bottoming out easily. I sleep on my side, and I'm delighted with the CF6's support, as well as with the new sheet I bought with it. Part of me thinks it's TOO waveless, but I'm getting used to it. Just one thing: I wish I'd unpacked it and let it sit outdoors for a few weeks until the vinyl smell went away. It was quite pungent for the first week, though after three weeks now it's nearly gone. I have slept on waterbeds for 45 years. I needed a new mattress and heard that "Boyd" mattresses were among the best. I've spent much more on mattresses over the years, but decided to take a chance on the CONTURA FORM 6 WATERBED MATTRESS. I can't believe I got this QUALITY of mattress for the price! I am not only thrilled with this mattress, I'm flat-out stating that this is the BEST waterbed mattress I have ever slept on! LOVE the no-motion, but still incredibly soft and comfortable. Received my bed today, the box was damaged but the water bed looks ok upon inspection. Had the Fed Ex driver log the box damaged just in case. I ordered a Contura Form 6 mattress the box says Comfort Supreme hoping it is the same mattress, will address the company about this. This is my 3rd mattress and have never been dissatisfied. Never slept on a regular mattress at home. Can not wait to get it up. Hope to upgrade to 5 stars soon (Posted on 12/10/2019) - Have had waterbed mattress over 40 yrs. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. Purchased it and the digital controls they recommended to replace what we'd been using for about 20 years. Wish I'd done it sooner. Shipping was prompt, installation was very easy. The reinforced corners make bed making very easy. I'd like to pass on an idea gleaned from the internet. Mattress is very good. Previously had a mattress with coils and paid about $500. Lasted close to 20 years. Replaced it with this mattress was a great move.. The mattress is firm and waveless. Back is feeling better and Happy I found this mattress. For a guy who spent the last 40 years on a waterbed I believe this is my best mattress!! Looks very nice. Not as high quality or as thick as the Sterling mattress I'm replacing, but very nice, overall. Wish it had two valves to help with burping. Can't wait to sleep on it.
Here's the issue, I'm trying to fill it, but the corners in the front dont reach the corners of the frame. The rear reach without issue. I guess the bladder was made incorrectly and was let go without quality control. The quality control label has no signatures or markings from the maker, it's left blank. I guess the couch will have company tonight. Lol.
