I have no complaints about the quality of Boyd products. However, this is the second time in recent months that I have ordered something and been informed that it would be shipped within 2 days, but based on the FedEx tracking information, nothing actually got done until after I wrote again 2 weeks later to inquire about the status. Bought and easily installed in 2013. I figured it would last. Is 8 years long or short to y’all? Since it has no moving parts, remained plugged in on 110 volts and hasn’t even been touched in those 8 years and it has not been exposed to moisture I expected it to last longer. Apparently I was wrong. Warranty only good for one year. But at $69 it did the job well during those 8 years. I’ll order another one since nobody local has them in stock. Hopefully I’ll get it within a week. I would recommend this product. Maybe I expect too much. (Posted on 9/9/2021) - I have not drained Mom's bed yet. It is summertime in Texas. I purchased a new mattress and this heater, got it all together and noticed heater control was pretty warm, checked it with laser thermometer & it was 104° , called the 800# and talked to jason, he sent me a new heater by the end of the week.
