A Dual Galaxy 4 replacement waterbed mattress bladder will fit inside your existing 8" deep fill softside waterbed foam cavity. Dual bladders allow for adjustable firmness for each side of the bed. You can control the fill level of each side of the mattress independently, allowing you and your partner to choose your own preferred comfort level, from plush to firm, by filling with more or less water. Four layers of polyester fiber reduces motion. Three additional layers of fiber in the lumbar area provides extra support where you need it most. If you suffer from back pain, you will appreciate the added lumbar support.
We recommend that when you purchase your new softside waterbed mattress bladder that you add Blue Magic Waterbed Conditioner at the time of filling. By properly conditioning your waterbed mattress each year you protect the vinyl, fiber and foam. Waterbed Conditioner also controls odor causing gases and slime forming bacteria.

We got this to replace a leaking single bladder King. We have had dual bladders before and liked them better than the single for a King size. The ordering was easy, and the shipping was amazingly fast. They came packaged great and were easy to set up. I don't recall any instructions in the package, but since both my husband and I are not new to waterbeds, we knew how to set it up.
Very comfy, and easy to fill. I will say, that you have to take some time before it gets too full, to make sure the corners are properly in place and that the edges are correct. That's the case for any mattress though. We had a fully waveless before this one, and I would say you can feel the other person moving slightly. My husband has restless leg syndrome, and I don't feel him moving at night. If he gets up out of bed, and I am awake, there is only a slight sense that he has moved. I think this is why 2 bladders for a King is better, you are able to have less awareness of the other person.
The only downside is I would say it's nice if a filling kit was included. I know some companies used to do that, and it's just consumer-friendly to include those. Also, having a "vent" valve and a fill valve is nice, so air can escape as you get closer to full capacity while filling.

We had a Galaxy 3 bed before this and we loved it.. the only complaint we had was the water level was perfect when me or my boyfriend were in it separately but sleeping together just wasn’t as comfortable for us. So when our Galaxy 3 spung a leak at the seams (after a very long life - so long we don’t remember when we bought it but it was at least 13 years ago and we didn’t add conditioner to the bladder to maintain it) we decided to give a dual bladder bed a try. We love it!! We both have ours filled to the level we like and we can get in and out of bed without rolling the other around. It’s really great now because he works nights and I work days. Shipping was pretty great and it only took about 9 days from the day I ordered it till the day I got to sleep back in my bed. I think the delay was because the warehouse closest to us was out of stock so they had to ship it from farther away. As soon as I opened the box I knew first hand that I made the right decision in purchasing this product, it’s comfortable, super soft, motionless and absolutely wonderful. I have a total right hip replacement and this dual motionless mattresses are the best. I will continue to purchase this product and more from this company, they are honest and fast in shipping your product to you. No communication from supplier as to when it would or was shipping. Did not appear to have as much bladder fill as the original. I feel like they saved a few dollars and put less foam in .I do not have the data to back it up however lifting the new ones into place and disposing of the old (dry after 3 weeks) the new ones felt lighter. We've used this specific flotation system for 13 years. For 10 years, it worked great. Then we moved and the bladders burst. So we bought new Galaxy IV bladders 3 years ago. Both bladders' waveless fiber has broken up and piled into a ball. Although once good, the current quality of this product doesn't warrant purchase. (Posted on 2/26/2018) - Good overall Review by Bob

I've been sleeping on a water bed since I've been 18 years old. I am now 51. This is by far the best waterbed mattress I've ever slept on. The fact that there is no weight transfer because of the dual bladder is absolutely excellent. And the fact that it has extra wave support is even better. Literally the best mattress I have ever had.
